Full-time and part-time Child and Youth Worker positions

We're hiring Child and Youth Workers in Hamilton, Grimsby, and Stoney Creek. If you have the CYW diploma or the experience, we want to talk to you.

  • Hamilton, ON
  • $24 to $25/hr
  • Full-time & Part-time

Why this role matters

You’ll be the steady presence in a kid’s life when things are hardest. That could mean helping a teenager talk through a rough day instead of shutting down, sitting with a child through a panic attack until it passes, or just being the adult who shows up on time, every time, when so many others haven’t.

None of that happens because you’re naturally calm under pressure, although it helps. It happens because you’re trained for it, and because you have people behind you: foster parents you work alongside, a clinical team you can call, and a structure that doesn’t leave you guessing in a crisis.

Benefits

Before you start

Before you start: Ontario regulations require a child welfare background check and a vulnerable sector police check for this role. Both may include personal and sensitive information. If you’re not comfortable with that step, this isn’t the right fit, and that’s okay. If you are, the application below takes about 10 minutes.
